Crafted from stack laminated pine-plywood, this versatile piece seamlessly blends form and function in a monocoque structure. Its clean lines and gentle curves echo the elegant arc of a Japanese Kanji, while crisp edges pay homage to minimalist aesthetics.

Measuring 40cm x 30cm x 45cm, the Sakotsu—named after the Japanese word for “wishbone”—serves as both a compact stool and an elegant side table. The natural wax oil finish highlights the inherent beauty of the pine, preserving its just-sanded texture and subtle grain patterns and layer joints. This understated piece speaks volumes through its restrained elegance, offering a touch of zen-like simplicity to any living space. Custom tinted finishes are available upon request, allowing for personalization while maintaining the Zazen series core ethos of simple sophistication.
